Delray's Bio

 

In Los Angeles studios, Delray collaborated and recorded tracks with Shakur, Dr. Dre, Melle Mel, the Sugar Hill Gang, 50 Cent, The Game, and Eminem, among others. His music has graced TV shows like "America's Next Top Model" and "Soul Food," earning him gold and platinum records, symbolizing millions in sales. In 2000 and 2003, he clinched a Los Angeles Music Award for independent hip-hop artist of the year, surpassing the likes of the Black Eyed Peas, signed to Sony Records. Annapolis Mayor Ellen Moyer proclaimed May 23 as "Delray Richardson Day" in 2008, honoring him with a proclamation at the Stanton Center gymnasium. Delray's latest album, his fifth, titled "Master Mason: In Hip Hop Grammar," was released in 2018 under his label Del-Funk-Boy Music.
