How can James Comey be a liar and "totally vindicate" Donald Trump at the same time? The two don't go together, and this proves Donald Trump has lied and contradicted himself once again.
Timeline: Sally Yates goes to the White House on January 26, and informs White House counsel Don McGahn that Michael Flynn has been compromised and can be blackmailed by the Russians. McGahn then called Yates back to the White House the next day and asked her "why does it matter to (the Justice Department) if one White House official lies to another White House official?"
On January 27th around noon Donald Trump then calls James Comey inviting him to dinner telling him, "I need loyalty" Trump repeats. You will always get honesty from me," Comey responds during that loyalty dinner that took place around 6:30 p.m.
On January 30th Sally Yates was fired under the guise of not backing a travel ban that ultimately hasn't held up in any Federal court, because it was unlawful as Yates said it was. We all know that it was about her damning evidence about Michael Flynn and Russia.
The February 14th briefing, in which Michael Flynn was fired on February 13th the day before. Trump excuses both Jeff Sessions and Jared Kushner after they lingered behind after the briefing. Donald Trump then ask Comey "I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go. He's a good guy. I hope you can let this go," Mr. Trump said to Mr. Comey during that Valentine's Day dinner / briefing.
March 20th Comey confirms that the FBI is investigating. "whether there was any coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia's efforts" to interfere with the 2016 election. FBI Director James Comey also said the FBI and Justice Department have no information to substantiate President Donald Trump's claims that former President Barack Obama wiretapped him before the election. But Trump is unfaithfully executing his duties as president by accusing his predecessor, president Obama, of undertaking an illegal and impeachable act, with absolutely no evidence to support the accusation.
On March 30th Donald Trump calls and asked him what could be done to "lift the cloud" of Russia. "He said he had nothing to do with Russia had not been involved with hookers in Russia, and had always assumed that he was being recorded when is Russia," Comey writes.
April 11th Trump calls Comey and ask him what had he done to spread the word that he wasn't involved in the Russian investigation. "The cloud," as Trump calls it. "Because I have been very loyal to you, very loyal; we had that thing, you know," he tells Comey.
On May 3rd the FBI director James Comey testifies before the Senate Judiciary Committee and tells Congress that it makes him "mildly nauseous" to think that his late October decision could have swung the election.
May 9th 2017 Trump suddenly fires Comey on a Tuesday afternoon. Citing recommendations form Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
Can't Get The Story Straight : When Comey’s abrupt dismissal was announced on Tuesday, Trump wrote in a letter to Comey that he had decided to accept Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s recommendation of firing. A White House statement said the same. That recommendation was based on Comey’s public handling of an investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email account and server.
Still Can't Get Story Straight: On Wednesday, however, White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders offered a slightly different answer: Trump had long contemplated firing Comey, but his final decision came on Tuesday, based on several factors, including Rosenstein’s memo and several factual errors that Comey made during testimony to the Senate last week.
May 11th 2017 Trump admits the real reason he fired Comey it was over, "this Russia thing with Trump and Russia"
May 11th Trump told NBC's Lester Holt: "And in fact when I decided to just do it, I said to myself, I said 'you know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story. “What I did is I was going to fire Comey, my decision,” Trump said during the interview “I was going to fire regardless of recommendation. He made a recommendation. But regardless of recommendation, I was going to fire Comey.”
May 17th 2017, Former FBI Director Robert Mueller was assigned by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to "oversee the previously-confirmed FBI investigation of Russian government efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election, and related matters."
June 16th 2017, 9:07am "I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director!" Trump said on Twitter, calling the probe into him a "Witch Hunt."
